2008 Game of the Year Tournament

Well 2008 is almost over and it's been a great year for games, especially lately. Anyway I know most of these tournament threads do pretty well on GI so I thought I'd try this. This will be pretty simple. Everyone can nominate 3 games, after a few days I'll count the nominees and the top 16 will be put into a bracket. If there are any ties for the last spots there will be a vote. Whichever one receives the most votes will be added into the brackets. I'll match up the games based on how many nominations they have, that way Grand Theft Auto IV won't be going up against Metal Gear Solid 4 in the first round for example. Everyone will have a few days to vote and when the time is up will move on and continue that process until we get to the final round. There will be no power picks or anything of that sort. You have until Saturday to nominate your favorite games, and in case any of you can't figure it out, you can only nominate games that came out this year, not a game that came out last year you didn't purchase until this year.
