4th of July Events Include Launch of PvE Server [Runes of Magic]

Tomorrow, July 4, marks Independence Day in the United States, and Frogster has some festivities planned in Runes of Magic in honor of the holiday. Perhaps the biggest announcement is that the company will be launching Reni, a new PvE server, to coincide with the celebration.

In addition, three Power Bundles will be 75% off this weekend, and you can buy a bunch of fireworks for a single diamond. Frogster will also be hosting a screenshot and leveling contests, so keep an eye out for those if you'd like to win some prizes. More information can be found after the jump.

SAN FRANCISCO — July 3, 2009 — We are proud to announce our plans for the Runes of Magic Independence Day celebration, which includes the opening of Reni, our new PvE server. The new server will allow us to better accommodate our ever-growing population and will give players a chance to start anew by getting a head start on being the first to complete quests, reach the highest level and build reputation.

In addition to adding the new server, we will feature 75% off Item Shop specials for players of all levels. For a single Diamond, players can buy a Bundle of Fireworks and join in the festivities. The celebration also will kick off our summer events, including a community screenshot contest, a new batch of item giveaways, a leveling contest for players and guilds on the new server, and many amazing prizes!



“We want to celebrate the Independence Day holiday with the Runes of Magic community, and we’ve come up with a lot of ways for everyone to have fun,” said Lars Koschin, CEO of Frogster America, Inc. “We’re already planning a lot more events for our players in the coming months as Runes of Magic continues to grow in popularity.”

The Independence Day celebration coincides with the second leg of an online quest that includes Runes of Magic and five partner sites. Players can visit participating sites and get one of 5,000 exclusive items, which can be pieced together to create a full set.
