Post TERA Devs Calling for "Focus Group Testers" [General News]

In our coverage of the GDC 2010 last week, the ZAM crew made a pit stop to film an exclusive gameplay presentation from En Masse Entertainment as the developer debuted its amazing-looking new MMO, TERA. If you haven't checked out the video yet, you're missing out; the upcoming MMO garnered quite the buzz at the GDC and it looks like an ambitious, promising new title.

If you're interested in becoming a beta-tester in the months to come, you'll be happy to learn that En Masse recently posted another call for participants on its Web site. Technically, the developers are calling the upcoming round "Focus Group Test #2"—the first test ended three months ago, according to the post. You can learn more information on how to apply for the next round of play testing after the jump!

The application process for TERA's Focus Group Test #2 is similar to most MMO closed-beta applications. These are the details from the recent announcment on the official TERA Web site:
Three months have passed since Focus Group Test #1 (FGT1), En Masse Entertainment's first closed test of TERA, and applications for Focus Group Test #2 (FGT2) are now open!

To apply and add yourself to our pool of potential testers, please follow these simple two-step instructions:

1) Collect the following information:

- Name:

- Age:

- Email:

- Forums Username:

- Geographical Location and Time Zone:

- Testing Experience:

- Available Hours per Day:

- Guild Membership (if any):

- Fansite Participation (if any):

- Top Five Favorite Games:

- DirectX Diagnostic (dxdiag.exe) Information*

2) Copy the above and paste it in an email to us:

- Subject: Focus Group Test Application

- Email: fgt@tera-online.com

If you participated in FGT1, you are already selected to participate in FGT2 but please submit an application so that we have your data in our new system. We will contact applicants with regards to joining FGT2 via email so be sure it's one you actively use. Applicant selection will be based on community participation, activity, quality of feedback, and the above application information. This will occur in coming weeks.

* To collect your DirectX Diagnostic Information:

- Run dxdiag.exe (use "Run" in your Start Menu and type in "dxdiag" or locate the file in your /system32/ directory).

- Click the "Save All Information..." button and click "Save" on the window that appears.

- Attach the resulting DxDiag.txt file to your application email.

Should you have any questions, please post them in this forum thread.
