Join us inside, won't you? We'll talking about cute. In a convention dedicated entirely to toys, there's a whole new meaning to the word "cute". It's can't just be an inner cuteness. There simply has to be some presentation involved. This megalomaniac bunny from Peace Toys, is a great example. Not only is he made of organic cotton, he's also conquering a soft, squeezable globe that's exactly like the kind that's been to space and owned by every President since Ronald Reagan. Isn't that some adorable networking? Or take a look at the Tushems. If they were just soft dogs with big butts, no one would care. But soft dogs with big butts and big round eyes? That's CUTE! The Perfect Petzzz not only have three z's in their name, they also offer you all the joy of a sleeping puppy with none of the drawbacks of a non-sleeping puppy. The same rules also apply to their pandas. Designed to replicate the breathing patterns of each breed, the Petzzz really do trigger that basic human need to be a jerk and start petting until the animal wakes up to play with you. And man, those pandas are stupid cute. Across the hall, we ran into the My Inflatable Buddy table. This inflateagator is actually a plush washable cover over a plastic air-filled bladder that's easy to inflate or deflate, offering big toys at smaller prices. He comes with his own pump too! This tray of various Japanese erasers was King of Cute for a liitle while, but then the competition got fierce. Would the title go to the mammoth mammoth? Or this beastly cute saber-toothed tiger? Well, we couldn't deny their high adorability rating, but they still didn't quite measure upâ?¦ to the champ. It was a hard decision, but the title finally had to go to Merry Makers' SkippyJon Jones, the siamese cat that pretends he is a chihuahua and also wears a mask. This cat is like a sundae made from honey and angels with newborn baby shavings on the top. How can there be so much cute in one little stuffed animal's backstory? It just make you want toâ?¦ to... Umâ?¦ yeah. That. Toy Fair 2010 coverage is gowing on fow a widdle bit wonger. Awwwww. More... |
