In
Long Way you're hiring cowboys to protect some bulls. Strangely enough, you keep them in a maze, and a few thousand rustlers with no sense of tactics decide to walk that maze in waves of five to eight men. It's kind of
The Magnificent Seven: The Video Game and it's weirdly fun.
Your guys (see below) all have different weapons and skills. You can level them up with the cash you get from the rustlers, or even add more guys if you feel you need them. It's possible to buy extra bulls in the town and that helps, because if you lose all your bulls the game is over, and you have to go back East or something. That's just the Law of the West.
But the real reason
Long Way is so great? It's the rush of joy you get when your shotgun-toting cowboy spins and one-shots a bad guy at the last possible second, leaving him nothing but vulture chow. Even after you see it ten or twenty times, you'll still be ready to see it again. It's so cinematic!
And THAT'S why you should play
Long Way. For the chance to see justice prevail.
